Atwood Oceanics offers a wide range of benefit plans to assist employees and their families with decisions regarding the security they need and deserve. Among the benefits offered are:

401(k) Retirement Plan

Our 401(k) plan is among the best in the industry with an employer match of $2 for every $1 contributed by the employee, up to 5% of base pay subject to IRS limits. This provides the opportunity for employees to save and build their retirement income, adding a source of self-managed funds to other income and personal savings. Employees are eligible to start contributing to the plan on the first day of the month following employment and are eligible for the Company match after 6 consecutive months from the date of plan entry.

  • Begin contributions through payroll deduction on the first day of the month following employment.
  • Rollover contributions from other plans are allowed.
  • 100% vested 3 years from the date you join the plan.
  • Investment fund options are among the best available.

Medical and Prescription Drug Coverage

Our medical plan provides comprehensive and affordable coverage in medical care, hospitalization, outpatient, emergency and additional health care services.

  • U.S. plan is a PPO Choice Plus Plan that includes a prescription drug plan.
  • International plan is also provided to employees residing outside of the U.S.

Dental and Vision Coverage

  • Choice of two Dental Plans with both plans providing basic and major restorative care.
  • Vision program offered as an affordable supplement to the medical coverage.

Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

  • Employer provided. Coverage equal to two times annual base pay to a maximum of $250,000. Includes coverage for spouse and children.

Disability Insurance

  • Employer provided. The benefit is 60% of monthly base pay to a maximum of $12,500 per month.

Optional Voluntary Life Insurance

  • Additional coverage up to a maximum of $500,000 or 5 times annual base pay. Includes elections for spouse and children.

Optional Voluntary Accidental Insurance

  • Additional coverage up to a maximum of $500,000 or 5 times annual base pay. Includes elections for spouse and children.

Flexible Spending

  • Health and Dependent-care flexible spending accounts are available.
